Welcome!

Welcome to the Central West End! During the Gilded Age, the CWE was the wealthiest enclave in Saint Louis, which was America's fourth largest city at that time. Much of that wealth-flexing grandeur remains and has lived many lives since. I'm Mike Nichols, a local armchair historian and natural storyteller who has spent years researching the eclectic places, characters, and events around the CWE that have made this storied neighborhood such a quintessentially unique place. My partner and I have experienced many amazing food + historical tours around the world, now borrowing from those experiences to offer the best St. Louis food tours we could imagine combined with unforgettable yet nearly-forgotten stories about St. Louis and the many lives of the magnificent CWE.
